Recently Scott and wife Susana “staged” with us (4500 feet) for a night, before transitioning to Park City elevation (7000 feet), from Tampa FL. Scott has devoted 1/2 of his garage to a coffee roaster. He explained to us the differences between a light, medium and dark roast. And he brought a bag of his own Colombian roast, which he prepared using our French press. He pre-warmed the French press, and his mugs with hot water. He let the coarse ground coffee steep in the press for five minutes, before he slowly “plunged” the grounds to the bottom. Ohh, it smelled heavenly, and it tasted good. Scott says when he is roasting at home in his neighborhood, the aroma draws many folks over, to order a bag or two. Thanks, Scott, for sharing!
